Summer holidays are synonymous with taking road trips, visiting new cities and going camping, hiking or swimming, but hanging out with family and friends is also an enticing option. No matter how you decide to spend your time, The Settlers Online invites you to share everything with us by sending a handwritten P O S T C A R D to our Düsseldorf office!

We arrived on this splendid sunny island yesterday and now that we're settled in, we have some time to send you our warmest regards!
The weather here is just right, the sun is shining - good thing we brought our sunglasses with us - and the sea is calm.

Concept: Send a postcard to our Düsseldorf office. Make sure to write an actual text message and add your username and the language version you are playing on.

Postcard: The postcard has to be a regular picture postcard or it can be your very own hand-drawn postcard.

Dear players,

Summer has ended, and so did the postcards flow in our mailbox. We immensely enjoyed reading them (and even deciphering the handwriting in some) as we marveled at the images and drawings you sent. Thank you for taking the time to share a bit of your holiday with The Settlers Online Community!

Of course, a few postcards were quite out of the ordinary, and this was one of them. Sand and seashells from the Baltic Sea!

When we first launched the community event, we surely didn't think of such unconventional "postcard"! So kudos to our very first winner, the German player Holzfaeller, for surprising everyone and thinking outside the box (or seashell can, for that matter ;) )!

Dear players,

There's a bit of a story behind this postcard and it involves our French community: sansgene is well-known among his fellow settlers for his leather crafting skills. His game colleagues have thus challenged him to create a leather postcard for our Community contest and send it over to our office. We're sure glad he accepted the challenge!

Greetings from the Albir beach, Spain! The days run smoothly; lunch, strolling, dinner, siesta, pool, restaurant and having fun. In the end, it's nearly as tiring as working throughout the whole rest of the year.

I hope the team had some time off as well and they didn't simply envy us, players, while gazing at our postcards. Here's a little handmade postcard (I didn't have any more money, I spent it all on partying ahahah)

Life is always full of surprises and the Russian player Nat_s came across one during her holiday last summer. Arriving in a small picturesque town on an island, she found herself being welcomed by the Mayor himself! Strangely, this town didn't seem to have any hotels at all and, as she further describes, the locals were very hospitable and curious. Hmm, a town on an island, no hotels, kind-hearted people and the Mayor coming to see the foreigners - does this scenario remind you of a particular island? ;)
